Manchester United and Liverpool kick off their pre-season campaigns with a pre-season friendly in Bangkok, Thailand.
With the new season under a month away, teams are preparing the best they can, with United looking to bounce back from their worst ever Premier League campaign. Liverpool, meanwhile, won both domestic cups and finished second to Manchester City.
Here’s what you need to know about Tuesday’s clash.
The big news for United is the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, who is looking to leave the club this summer. However, manager Erik ten Hag has insisted the Portugal international is not for sale.
Elsewhere, Phil Jones and Brandon Williams have both been left in England to continue their recoveries from respective knocks.

Liverpool confirmed their 37-player touring squad on Sunday, with new signing Darwin Nunez travelling alongside fully fledged stars like Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
There is, however, no room for Calvin Ramsay as he is recovering from an injury, while Caoimhin Kelleher is not included in the squad.

It’s pretty tough to predict the outcome of a pre-season friendly, given it’s all about getting up to speed ahead of the new campaign.
However, with United at the very start of their regime under Ten Hag and Liverpool are miles ahead under Jurgen Klopp, so the safe prediction is a Liverpool win. That will depend, however, on the strengths of the starting XIs.
