Nottingham Forest have already made six new signings this summer and are showing no signs of slowing down, with a new update emerging on a potential transfer target.

According to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph, Jordan Larsson’s representatives have made contact with Nottingham Forest.
Joseph tweeted:
“UPDATE: It’s looking increasingly unlikely that Celtic will offer a contract to forward Jordan Larsson.
“His reps made contact with the Hoops – as well as a number of clubs, including Nottingham Forest.
“Larsson weighing up options with interest from England, Germany & Italy.”
Supporters will love it
Forest supporters will surely be buzzing that the club are wasting no time or resources in making sure they build a team that can compete in the Premier League next season, and in Larsson, they’d be signing someone with plenty of exciting qualities.
Over 34 appearances for Spartak Moscow, the currently out-of-contract attacker scored five goals and delivered two assists in all competitions, but did not score a single goal in the Premier Liga.
Despite not scoring in the league, Larsson created four big chances, provided 2.1 key passes and took 1.5 shots on average per game, as well as being successful in completing the majority of his dribble attempts (68%).
One thing that Larsson can offer Steve Cooper if Forest did seal a deal to bring him to The City Ground is versatility in his position, the player has been deployed in a number of roles including attacking midfield, right wing and striker.
That will be absolutely vital to a side who will be playing their first Premier League campaign in over two decades. That said, despite the hype, there remains an element of doubt as to whether Larsson can perform at the level needed.

With the signing of Taiwo Awoniyi who already has no Premier League experience, it may be more advantageous for Forest to sign a forward who can offer that experience in the top flight to give the newly-promoted side their best chances of survival over their debut campaign next season.
With that being said, Forest should carefully consider all of their options before making the final decision on Larsson, as there could be a player available that cannot only offer more experience but also more consistency in their attacking threat.
