Zaniolo had been linked with a move to Tottenham in recent months as well, and Roma even held talks with the Lilywhites, but the player’s preference to stay in Serie A has meant that La Vecchia Signora became the frontrunners in the race to sign the player.

Juve are hoping to include either Arthur Melo or Moise Kean in a deal to sign Zaniolo. As 90min reported a few weeks ago, Juventus are keen to offload some midfield deadwood during the summer with Arthur at the top of that list.

The 23-year-old would be Juventus’ third signing of the summer, with the club recently securing the services of free agents Paul Pogba and Angel Di Maria.
