Chelsea academy graduates Mason Mount and Reece James have both signalled their intent to commit their long-term futures to the club.

Although Mount has two years to run on his current contract and James three, neither player is among the Blues’ top earners despite them emerging as key players over the past few seasons.

Mount last penned fresh terms in the summer of 2019 before enjoying his breakout season at Stamford Bridge, while James renewed his contract midway through the same campaign as both were given opportunities with the club under a transfer embargo.

Both men have since developed into standout performers for Chelsea, winning the Champions League in 2021 and becoming guaranteed starters under head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Although there had been some doubt over Mount and James’ futures amid interest from Real Madrid and leading Premier League sides, the England internationals have both signalled their intent to extend their stays at Stamford Bridge.
