Marseille are interested in signing Nuno Tavares on loan from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to L’Équipe. The French publication has claimed that Marseille view Arsenal left-back Tavares as a priority transfer target this summer, as new head coach Igor Tudor wants quality wing-backs in his system.
Tavares joined Arsenal from Benfica in the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old was signed as a back-up to Kieran Tierney, and he got his chances due to injury problems for the Scotland international, who is the number one left-back at the Emirates Stadium.
The youngster made 13 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process. Tavares also made three starts and two substitute appearances in the Carabao Cup last season, providing one assist in the process.
