Tottenham’s preparations for the 2022/23 season continue when they take on Rangers this weekend.

Spurs have just returned from a two-game tour of South Korea, beating an all-star Team K League side and drawing to Sevilla in an aggressive encounter.

Meanwhile, Rangers are heading into their final pre-season friendly ahead of their Scottish Premiership opener at Livingstone, while they have also been drawn against Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise in the Champions League qualifiers.

Here’s everything you need to know.

New signing Ben Davies could be handed his debut after joining from Liverpool on Tuesday. The centre-back was unveiled prior to their 3-1 win over West Ham.

With their competitive season just a week away, Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be keen to use as many starters as possible.

Unlike his opposing namesake, Spurs’ Ben Davies is expected to miss out after picking up an ankle injury against Sevilla. He was seen wearing a protective boot post-match.

New signings Yves Bissouma and Fraser Forster could make appearances after Covid-19 prevented them from taking part in Tottenham’s tour of South Korea. Clement Lenglet missed the trip due to visa issues, while Djed Spence finally became a Spurs player this week and could also feature.

Ivan Perisic has returned to training after arriving at the club with a muscle injury and is similarly likely to take part.

Antonio Conte has been working his charges hard this pre-season and were handed a more than competitive enough test against Sevilla last time out.

With all of their new signings likely to play some part at Ibrox, the Italian will get a better idea at how his team will look heading into the new campaign.

That said, Rangers are much further along in their preparations and while they may not have Sevilla’s quality, they will certainly give Spurs a good go so close to their season start.

Score prediction: Rangers 1-3 Tottenham
