How Nottingham Forest look set to blow West Ham out the water to sign Jesse Lingard

Nottingham Forest have made Jesse Lingard a massive contract offer as they look to sign him on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old is a free agent after leaving Manchester United at the end of his contract.

The forward also has an offer from West Ham but the Reds’ offer is far more lucrative.

Forest have offered Lingard £200,000-per-week, report the Times.

Their offer is £50,000-per-week more than West Ham’s bid. The former Man United player is now on the verge of signing at the City Ground.

Although the Hammers have not given up just yet in case Lingard decides to change his mind.

At the start of the week, David Moyes’ team were growing in confidence about getting him.

But he is now expected to join Steve Cooper’s side, who were looking to make a major signing to add to their ten new additions.

They have already managed to sign some interesting names such as Taiwo Awoniyi, Neco Williams, Moussa Niakhaté, Giulian Biancone and Omar Richards.

Meanwhile, they completed the double signing of Huddersfield duo Lewis O’Brien and Harry Toffolo.

Goalkeepers Wayne Hennessey and Dean Henderson have also been added to their squad.

Could Lingard on £200K-per-week cause issues?
