A lot has been said in the last couple of months about Jorge Masvidal and Colby Convington’s fights in and outside the octagon.
The former friends had an altercation outside a Miami Beach restaurant last March 21, in which Masvidal confronted Covington over some comments the latter had made about Masvidal’s relationship with its children.
Now the 911 audio from a call made by a man who identified himself as an off-duty police officer, told dispatch to please hurry up and send some units quickly to the scene.
“Can we send a bunch of, or a few units …” For him to later add “If you could just send units on a three, please.”, with a sense of urgency in his voice tone.
What happened between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal?
Outside of Papi Steak in Miami Beach, Masvidal confronted Covington after dinner.
The off-duty officer that he had spoken to the victim (Covington) and that he stated that Masvidal had sucker punched him and continued attacking him till he chipped one of his tooth, while also damaging his $90,000 Rolex watch.
As a result, Jorge Masvidal was arrested, he pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him for aggravated battery and criminal mischief, and was ordered to stay at least 25 feet away from Covington while the case remains active.
Masvidal is scheduled to appear in court for his next hearing in August.
What did Colby Covington say about Jorge Masvidal?
Colby Covington called himself the “King of Miami”, which Masvidal took as a sign of disrespect due to Covington not even being from Miami.
But maybe what stirred the pot the most was Covington calling Masvidal a ‘deadbeat dad’, something the Miami native didn’t took well.
“You talk that s**t you gotta back it up, that’s how my city rolls man!”, was response in a Twitter video.
