Who would’ve guessed that D&D would become cool again? Well, we now have a new live action adaptation coming up and it looks awesome!

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, the movie with the slightly awkward title, debuted in a new trailer at San Diego Comic-Con, showcasing a film that appears to veer between a serious fantasy epic and a fun action comedy.

The official synopsis reads: “A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.”

In addition to the trailer, the movie’s poster was also revealed, and perhaps unsurprisingly, it heavily emphasizes the “dragons” component of Dungeons & Dragons.

The film features an impressive cast

Hugh Grant, Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Reg-Jean Page, Sophia Lillis, Chloe Coleman, and Michelle Rodriguez are just a few of the film’s impressive cast members.

Additionally, the movie’s release follows the recently concluded fourth season of the D&D-focused television series Stranger Things. So interest is high right now.
