Pre-season games tend to have a more relaxed atmosphere as players return from their holidays and ease their way in to getting back up to match speed in preparation for the season.
This was not the case in the”friendly” match played between current Premier League Champions Manchester City and Club Amrica. In fact, there was rather tense atmosphere during the game, which was mainly caused by an aggressive exchange between City midfielder and england international Jack Grealish and mexican goalkeeping legend Guillermo Ochoa.
Grealish reacted angrily after the Club Amrica goalkeeper touched him when he was on the floor. What proceeded was plenty of pushing and shoving, as several players from both sides also got involved to have their say on the matter. Grealish and Ochoa had to be separated by teammates.
Grealish is develping quite a reputation as being the “bad boy” of english football. It’s not the first time he’s reacted like this on the pitch…
