As an NFL legend, Tom Brady is no stranger to dramatic sporting circumstances, especially those involving the city of Boston, and the former New England Patriots quarterback showed good humour in the wake of the Boston Red Sox’s historic defeat to the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Red Sox conceded 27 runs through six innings against the Toronto franchise, which gave Brady the chance to recall one of his own comebacks.

“Gonna be a hell of a story,” Brady posted on Twitter.

Crucially, Brady sent the message to former Patriots teammate, Julian Edelman, and it was a clear reference to the Super Bowl comeback where Brady led the Pats to victory after being 28-3 down to the Atlanta Falcons.

Whilst the city of Boston was able to celebrate on that occasion, it was not to be the case against the Blue Jays, as they held on to their heavy victory on Friday night.
