If you live in Madison, Wisconsin, and applied for the $500 direct payment, you may wait just a couple of months.
According to the information released, Wisconsin will send the first payment to its residents between August and September.
The $500 checks:
Around 155 families will receive guaranteed money.
The $500 check selection was via lottery.
To qualify for the direct payment in Madison Wisconsin, people needed to earn less than 200% under the federal poverty line.
Another must obtain the $500 direct payment was to have a kid under 18 years old living at home.
“We know that monthly cash aid can help families across healthy food, buy school supplies or even get a better job,” Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway mentioned.
“A guaranteed income can also improve the mental and physical health of recipients.”
Inflation aid across the country:
Twelve states are granting additional Child Tax Credits to low-income families.
After the American Rescue Plan expired, families in need of extra money due to the cost of inflation, will get $1,000 per child annually.
