Former University of Southern California wide receiver Drake London joined the Atlanta Falcons earlier this year, after being selected eighth overall in the 2022 NFL draft.

As a freshman, he recorded 39 receptions for 567 yards and five touchdowns across nine games. Last year, he shined with USC, being named Offensive Player of the Year in 2021.

London picked up an ankle injury during his eighth game of the season and missed the remainder of the campaign, but he is expected to be fit for next season.

Calvin Ridley‘s one-year suspension means that London should be given an opportunity straightaway in his rookie campaign.

“Would I consider myself a leader? Yes. But at the same time, I am a rookie,” London told the press as he looked ahead to the new season.

“I have to go through all the ropes. I’m probably going to be carrying shoulder pads and helmets all the time, and you know rookie dinner and things like that.

“But I would definitely say in the future, I would like to be a leader.”

What is Drake London’s rookie deal?

According to Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson, London has put pen to paper on a 21.5m dollar deal with Atlanta.

The 20-year-old rookie received a 5.4m dollar signing bonus, with his annual salary being 705,000 dollars in his first NFL season.

His wages will rise to 870,000 dollars, 985,000 dollars and 1.1m dollars in 2023, 2024 and 2025, respectively.

Meanwhile, Wilson reported that on the third day of training camp, his roster bonuses will go into effect at 813,840 dollars, 1.677m dollars and 2.541m dollars.

This means that London has officially become the highest-paid rookie wide receiver ahead of New York Jets’ Garrett Wilson, who penned a 20.5m dollar deal.

What is Drake London’s net worth in 2022?

As of 2022, London‘s net worth is estimated at 24.6m dollars, according to Sportsnaut.

This figure is expected to go up if he has the success on the NFL field that most believe he will.
